Field Of Honor Veterans Memorial

The Field of Honor Memorial stands in recognition of all veterans who served in the five wars of the twentieth century. At the site, 8 bronze statues remind visitors of the men and women of our ethnically diverse nation who served in all of the armed forces with honor.

The site is a truly fitting memorial to the heroes of the area and the United States. The Gold Star Mothers Memorial also stands at this site as a remembrance of the sacrifices given of our families. These memorials are located at the Loves Park City Hall, 100 Heart Boulevard.

Young At Heart Festival

A local, annual festival held over the Memorial Day weekend which is sponsored by the Loves Park-Machesney Park Chamber of Commerce.

The event is one of the largest festivals in northern Illinois. The festival features carnival rides, games, karaoke, pony rides, food vendors and more. Set on the beautiful grounds at the Loves Park City Hall complex, the Young at Heart Festival brings thousands of visitors to the area.
